Meet the Coach Behind

My name is Dr. Justin Grimes.
I was born and raised in Little Rock, and I went from a 16 on the ACT to earning a doctorate. Where you start does not decide where you finish.

I know this journey from both sides. I earned my master's online and my Ph.D. from a top five research university, both fully funded, which meant tuition covered plus a stipend. I have also been the recruiter, the instructor, the academic coach, and the person in the room helping decide who gets in.

I also know what it takes to do this while your life is already full. Most of the people I coach are working professionals, parents, and first-generation students, fitting graduate school into a life that will not slow down to make room for it. I have carried that same weight. My job is to help you build a plan that fits your real life, not the one an admissions brochure assumes you have.

Outside of work, I am a sneaker collector who loves bowling, cooking, a good movie, and time with my family.
